Last updated: 25 October 2026
1. About These Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the TeaCheese platform, including the website at teacheese.com.au and the web application at app.teacheese.com.au (together, the "Platform").
TeaCheese is operated under ABN 90 303 554 759, based in Queensland, Australia ("we", "us", "our").
By creating an account or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.
2. Service Description
TeaCheese provides AI assisted educational planning tools for Australian teachers. Lite supports individual resources and related requests. The Planning Wizard connects curriculum maps, marking guides, assessments, units, lessons and planned coverage. Quick Lesson Creator provides a separate route for lesson slides.
Available resources include lesson and unit plans, assessments, marking guides, worksheets, quizzes and slides. Export formats depend on the resource. Lite resources do not automatically become Planning Wizard records.
The application offers ACARA, NSW, Victorian and Western Australian curriculum choices for eligible subjects, year levels and versions. Availability is not a promise of complete state coverage. The public curriculum directory displays ACARA v9 only. Confirm the curriculum required by your school and the source selected for each resource.
You may submit supported teaching documents and instructions where the relevant feature permits. You must have authority to use and process those materials. The Platform is a planning aid and does not replace professional teacher judgement, school requirements or the review of generated content.
3. Eligibility
The Platform is intended for use by teachers, educators, and school administrators in Australia. By creating an account, you represent that you:
- Are at least 18 years of age
- Are using the Platform for educational planning purposes
- Have the authority to agree to these Terms (including on behalf of your school or organisation, if applicable)
4. Account Registration and Security
4.1 Account Creation
To use the Platform, you must create an account using a valid email address and password, or by signing in through a sign in provider offered on the registration screen.
4.2 Account Security
You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials
- All activity that occurs under your account
- Notifying us promptly at hello@teacheese.com.au if you become aware of any unauthorised use of your account
We take reasonable steps to protect account access and personal information. No online service can guarantee that unauthorised access will never occur. Our Privacy Policy describes information handling and security.
4.3 Account Roles
If organisation features are made available to you, access is subject to the roles and permissions actually provided for that organisation. These Terms do not promise a particular school administration or single sign on integration.
5. Subscriptions, Credits, and Payment
5.1 Free Credits
100 free credits. No credit card required.
5.2 Subscription Plans
We offer the following paid subscription plans (prices in Australian dollars):
- Pro: A$9.99 per month, 150 credits each month
- Power: A$19.99 per month, 450 credits each month
- Unlimited: A$39.99 per month, fair use applies (see 5.3.1)
Plan features and pricing are as displayed on our Pricing page at the time of purchase.
5.3 Credits
On Free, Pro and Power, credits are used when you create teaching resources. The price depends on the resource and its size. The app shows the price before each paid step. Monthly plan credits reset on your billing date and do not carry over.
On Free, Pro and Power, a detailed lesson uses 6 credits. Quick Lesson uses 3 credits, and a worksheet uses 2. A standalone quiz with 10 questions uses 8. A written assessment uses 13. A unit covering 5 weeks uses 16. Longer units, larger marking guides and more quiz questions can cost more. Slides have a price for the text and another for making the deck. Check the price before each paid step.
Additional credit packs are available on Pro and Power. Choose 75 credits for A$4.99, 180 credits for A$9.99, 450 credits for A$19.99. New top ups expire 12 months after purchase. Older top up credits do not get a new expiry date. Monthly plan credits reset on your billing date and do not carry over.
5.3.1 Fair Use on the Unlimited Plan
The Unlimited plan has no credit allowance to count and includes every generation feature. A fair use limit applies each billing month: the amount of generation that 2,000 credits would buy at the credit costs that apply on the Pro and Power plans. This is about 333 detailed lessons, or 125 units covering 5 weeks each, or 38 slide decks using the 30 slide option with AI pictures, or a mix. The app shows how much of the month’s fair use you have used. If you reach the limit you keep everything you have made and can still open, edit and download it, but you cannot generate more until the limit resets on your next billing date. You can ask us for more in that month and we may add it. Credit top ups are not sold on the Unlimited plan.
5.4 Payment Processing
All payments are processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your payment card details on our servers. By subscribing, you authorise Stripe to charge your nominated payment method on a recurring monthly basis.
5.5 Automatic Renewal
Subscriptions renew automatically each month on the anniversary of your subscription start date. You will be charged the applicable subscription fee at each renewal unless you cancel before the renewal date.
5.6 Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time through the Platform or by contacting us at hello@teacheese.com.au. Upon cancellation:
- You will retain access to paid features until the end of your current billing period
- After the billing period ends, your subscription allowance and purchased top ups are not available for new generation under the cancelled subscription
- Your completed planning content remains accessible, subject to account closure and these Terms
Goodwill credits, if separately granted to your account, do not expire and may be used after cancellation. Cancellation does not itself grant goodwill or create a new subscription allowance.
5.7 Refunds and Credit Recovery
Refund requests are assessed on a case by case basis. If you believe you have been charged in error or are dissatisfied with the service, please contact us at hello@teacheese.com.au within 14 days of the charge. The 14 day request period does not limit any right or remedy available under the Australian Consumer Law. A request made outside that period must still be considered where the law requires it.
Restoring generation credits is different from refunding a subscription payment or other cash payment. Checking, corrective repairs and retrying a download for an existing purchased resource do not create a new generation purchase. A genuinely new paid generation attempt requires the applicable price confirmation, including where an earlier attempt has been refunded. A technical failure does not remove your statutory rights.
5.8 Price Changes
We may change our subscription prices from time to time. Any price changes will be communicated to you via email at least 14 days before they take effect. If you do not agree to the new pricing, you may cancel your subscription before the next billing cycle.
6. Content Ownership and Licensing
6.1 Your Content
You retain your existing rights in materials you create, enter or upload ("Your Content"). You must have the permissions required to submit the material and allow its processing. Uploading a syllabus, source, image or other material does not transfer the rights of its original owner to you or to us.
You grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to store, process, display, and transmit Your Content solely for the purpose of providing and operating the Platform. This licence is limited to operating the service. Following deletion, limited retention or processing may remain necessary for backups, security, legal records and the handling of a request, as explained in the Privacy Policy.
6.2 AI-Generated Content
Subject to applicable law and the rights in incorporated material, you may use generated content for your educational planning. We do not claim ownership of output created for you. We do not guarantee that an AI output is unique, exclusive, accurate or protected by copyright. Curriculum extracts, sourced images and other third party material retain their own licence conditions.
6.3 Platform Intellectual Property
All other elements of the Platform, including its design, code, algorithms, prompts, branding, logos, and documentation, are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by Australian and international intellectual property laws. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use our trademarks, logos, or branding.
6.4 Curriculum Data
The public directory contains Australian Curriculum v9 material from the Australian Curriculum, Assessment and Reporting Authority (ACARA). Material covered by the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 licence must retain the required attribution. Excluded material, logos and material owned by others remain subject to their own terms. See the Australian Curriculum copyright terms and the attribution in the site footer.
Curriculum choices in the application may also include eligible NESA, VCAA, SCSA and QCAA sources. Their availability does not grant a general right to copy or republish that material. Users must observe the terms applying to their source. No state curriculum directory is published on this website. TeaCheese is not affiliated with or endorsed by these curriculum authorities.
6.5 Anonymised Data
We may use aggregated, anonymised data derived from Platform usage (which does not identify you or any individual) for the purposes of improving the Platform, conducting research, or developing new features.
7. AI Content and Teacher Review
The Platform uses artificial intelligence to generate educational planning content. You acknowledge and agree that:
- AI-generated content may contain inaccuracies, errors, or omissions and should be reviewed and verified before use
- Curriculum alignment provided by the Platform is on a best-effort basis and may not perfectly reflect the requirements of the Australian Curriculum v9.0 or State syllabuses
- AI models and their outputs may change over time as providers update their systems
- The Platform is a planning support tool, not a substitute for professional teacher judgement, curriculum expertise, or school-based quality assurance processes
- You are solely responsible for reviewing, adapting, and approving any content before using it in your professional practice
We do not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or fitness for purpose of any AI-generated content.
AI output does not replace professional judgement. Review factual accuracy, curriculum requirements, assessment conditions and classroom suitability before using the material. Apply the review and quality assurance processes required by your school and professional obligations.
8. Acceptable Use
You agree to use the Platform only for its intended purpose of educational planning. You must not:
- Use the Platform to collect, store, or process student personally identifiable information beyond what is necessary and permitted under applicable law
- Share your account credentials with others or allow others to access your account
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of the Platform
- Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to access the Platform or circumvent usage limits
- Abuse the credit system or attempt to manipulate quotas
- Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose or in a manner that could damage, disable, or impair the Platform
- Redistribute, resell, or sublicence the Platform or its outputs as a competing service
- Upload content that is illegal, defamatory, or infringes third-party rights
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
9. Shared Content
Where a worksheet or quiz provides a share link, you are responsible for deciding who should receive it. A person who receives the link may be able to pass it to others. A share link should not be treated as a private school access system unless the feature expressly provides those controls.
Respondent details and answers may be collected where the shared activity requests them. Use only information necessary for the teaching purpose, and confirm school authority and any required consent before collecting student information. Do not place confidential student information in a public resource or a website assistant question.
The Privacy Policy describes how submitted information is handled. These responsibilities do not exclude obligations that apply to TeaCheese under privacy or consumer law.
10. Availability and Service Changes
10.1 Availability
We aim to provide reliable access to the Platform but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. The Platform may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control (including third-party service outages).
10.2 Changes to the Platform
We may modify, update, or discontinue features of the Platform at any time. Where changes materially affect your use of the Platform, we will endeavour to provide reasonable notice.
10.3 Third-Party Dependencies
The Platform relies on third-party services (including AI providers, hosting services, and payment processors). We are not responsible for outages, changes, or discontinuation of third-party services that may affect the Platform.
11. Limitation of Liability
11.1 Consumer Guarantees
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantee, right, or remedy conferred on you by the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth)) or any other applicable law that cannot be excluded, restricted, or modified by agreement.
11.2 Service as Provided

11.3 Limitation
Subject to Section 11.1, to the maximum extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability to you for any claims arising out of or in connection with these Terms or your use of the Platform is limited to the total amount you have paid to us in the 12 months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

- Loss or damage arising from reliance on AI-generated content
- Loss or damage arising from third-party service outages or failures

11.5 Your Liability
You agree to indemnify us against any loss, damage, cost, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from:
- Your breach of these Terms
- Your misuse of the Platform
- Any claim by a third party arising from Your Content or your use of the Platform
12. Data and Privacy
Your use of the Platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, store, and disclose your personal information.
The Privacy Policy explains information handling. It does not replace any separate notice or consent required for a particular use of personal information.
13. Account Termination
13.1 Termination by You
You may close your account at any time by contacting us at hello@teacheese.com.au. Active subscriptions should be cancelled before requesting account closure.

Where reasonably practicable, we will provide notice before terminating your account and give you an opportunity to export Your Content.
13.3 Effect of Termination
Upon account termination:
- Your access to the Platform will cease
- Active sessions and tokens will be invalidated
- Your Content will be scheduled for deletion in accordance with our data retention practices
- Any unused credits or remaining subscription period will be forfeited (subject to any refund rights under the Australian Consumer Law)
14. Dispute Resolution
14.1 Informal Resolution
If you have a dispute or complaint, please contact us first at hello@teacheese.com.au. We will make reasonable efforts to resolve the matter informally within 30 days.
14.2 Mediation
If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, either party may refer the matter to mediation administered by a mediator agreed upon by both parties, or failing agreement, appointed by the Resolution Institute (Queensland chapter).
14.3 Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. Subject to any rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law, the courts of Queensland have non-exclusive jurisdiction over any disputes arising under these Terms.
15. General Provisions
15.1 Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding your use of the Platform and supersede any prior agreements or understandings.
15.2 Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision will be severed and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
15.3 Waiver
Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that provision or any other provision.

You may not assign or transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign our rights and obligations without your consent.
15.5 Notices
We may send notices to you via the email address associated with your account. You may send notices to us at hello@teacheese.com.au. Notices are deemed received when sent by email.
16. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes:
- We will notify registered users via email or a prominent notice on the Platform
- The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will be revised
- Your continued use of the Platform after the effective date of any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms
If you do not agree with the updated Terms, you should stop using the Platform and cancel your subscription.
